The Wandering Balloon is a new game feature that is available in AFK Arena which allows us to replay games from the Voyage of Wonders realm and the first featured realm is called The Depths of Time, a truly enjoyable Voyage of Wonders we had back in May, 2020.
As always I’ve got my step-by step walkthrough of this area that you can follow to solve any problems you encounter or follow it for if you’re not looking to figure out the puzzles in any way
The Frozen Hinterland General & Rewards
The primary goal of The Frozen Hinterland is to get through the lasers in order to obtain the weapon that will assist you in winning the fight against the ultimate boss.
What’s The Reward In The Frozen Hinterland?
Of course, the reward change since the rewards we received game in Voyage of Wonders – completing the Frozen Hinterland of the Wandering Balloon will reward you.The primary reward was more attractive than the one in Voyage of Wonders, but now you can receive four Faction Summon Scrolls and 777 Diamonds in the rewrads of The Crystal Chests.
Inside the Gold Chests, you’ll find lots of Soul Stones (180 Common & 30 Epic) along with an abundance of Poe Coins to pull some lovely furniture.
The Frozen Hinterland Walkthrough
So, without further delay we’ll jump straight into the walkthrough, where I walk you step-by step how to get through The Frozen Hinterland and beat the boss that is the last one to beat.
In the end, you’ll end up with an red laser that will block your way towards the north.
Step 1.
Take a walk to the left of the map and you’ll begin unlocking The map for The Frozen Hinterland.
Step 2.
Now you’ll discover the red lever. the first thing to do is lower the lever so that you place the barrel on the ground below.
Then, you must fight the two camps and make use of the cannon. The cannon will eliminate the barrel.
Before we head up there, it’s important to remember what else we have to accomplish.
Step 3.
The lever that was red also opened the road to the north of the Frozen Hinterland, where you must get there now.
Utilize the green lever and you’ll see this green stone will move up. This is crucial to complete before we proceed to the next section!
Once you’ve used the lever in green, head back to the location you saw in Step 2.
Step 4 .
walk over the red stone and utilize the lever. This will take you to the upper part of this section.
There are many camps in the area that you have to fight until you get to the snowball cannon as well as the lever in blue.
Step 5.
First, use the blue lever first to make the stone blue move upwards. Then, make use of the snowball cannon to make a snowball go into the direction to the blue laser. Utilize the portal for a return to ground level.
Step 6.
Now you have to pull the lever red to move the red stone back to the floor and then walk towards the snowball cannon.

Step 7.
You now remove your track here and head towards the north.
You’ll see the boss here, but without the weapon of choice, it’s impossible to overcome this five-fold Talene setup now.
Don’t worry, it will become easier later on.
Step 8.
make sure you have this chest and camp as you won’t be able to reach it in the future and require an additional run to get the chest that you normally have.
Once you’ve beat them all After you have defeated them all, go through the portal and return to the Frozen Hinterland.
Step 9.
It’s now time to have the blue laser blocked by the snowball on the stone in blue. To accomplish this, stroll through the portal until you get to the red lever and place it on the ground then step over it and ascend.
Then, you go towards the lever in blue and pull it. Then, you can utilize the portal to get back to the level of the ground.
Step 10.
I know that it’s walking a lot but now you take the lever down and then walk back to the green stone. You then utilize that lever in green to go back up.
Then walk to the right hand side and you’ll find a camp, an chest, and a lever that is yellow.
Take on the camp, take the chest, and then use the lever that is yellow.
This can reduce the fight for the boss, however before you can achieve this, you’ll need to collect more relics to be stronger.
Step 11.
is to walk towards the north, where you will find a few camps you can take down and at the conclusion you’ll encounter the second boss fight in the Frozen Hinterland. The boss fight should not be a problem , and the set-up is pretty good.
If you’re having issues, there’s a good chance you had negative relics. You might require a re-run of The Frozen Hinterland but I haven’t had any issues in any way.
Step 12.
Return to the portal which takes you to ground level. Now it’s time to go into an epic boss battle. The 5x Talene can’t be defeated, regardless of the relics you have, but it is possible to make them disappear by taking the cannon located at the bottom and firing it.
The cannon is going to straight shoot at the boss, and make the boss disappear. Nice job
Step 13.
The issue now is that we have to switch levers once more so that you are able to access the chest using the Stargazer Card. To do this simply head to the lever in green and then walk to the left side of the map, and then use the yellow lever. Once you have done that, you can go to the chest.
Hidden Chest of 777 Diamonds As I said there’s a hidden chest that will provide you with 777 Diamonds.
To reach the portal, you have to pass to the blue entrance first and then through the orange portal three times in succession.
If you do it correctly If you do it correctly, you will be in the area just behind the last camp.
You now have to take on the 5x Talene however they’re really low-level, therefore there’s nothing special about beating them , especially if you’re a carry hero like Shemira.
To get the chest, it is necessary to walk onto the tile where you found the campsite (the white tile) and the chest will be revealed.
Alternately, you can reset the snowball in the first place so that it does not block the blue laser. You can also proceed across the blue laser before walking up to the top. Thanks to Cy for commenting on it in your comments
