Every year, we see different events at AFK Arena. Sometimes even more than one.
You can use your beta server access to see which events are coming up. This is a great way to plan ahead and see what hero copies you might be able to get in the next event.
This article will keep you informed about the upcoming events at AFK Arena.
Upcoming Events
The following events are currently available on beta servers. You can expect them soon.
Celestial Islands Event (June 16th, 2020)
Celestial Island’s next round is on the horizon and it looks very promising. These events are heavily dependent on luck and many of you won’t enjoy them. However, the structure and rewards look much better and it seems that developers have listened to our concerns.
There will be 10 floors to reach heroes. The main rewards are one Stargazer card per floor. However, keys will also come from Daily Tasks and AFK Rewards, as well as the forthcoming Depths of Time 2 Voyage of Wonders.
Daily Tasks will provide 15 keys per day, while Voyage of Wonders provides 60 keys. Although I don’t yet know how much you can get from AFK rewards, it’s possible to complete one floor every day. There are 12 days of events that will give you 60 keys.
The heroes, Khazard and Talene, are truly great this time!
You also have Lucius, Saurus and Oscar as options.
Personally, I find the reward structure much better now. I am confident that even though F2P, you will still be able get at least to the 10th floor before the event ends.
Current Events
These are the most recent events:
Abyssal Expedition (June 3rd, 2020)
Update 1.39 brings a new event to the guild ground. The details aren’t available, but you can fight alongside your guild in the guild ground.
Official statement
You will need to drive out the evil occupiers and your allies from the settlements, as well as expand your territories. This will require extensive resource cooperation and will be carried out on a vastly expanded map. More details soon! ”
Lost Sigils (May 17th, 2020)
Another Lost Sigil is incoming. The rewards in the test server include interesting heroes, Faction Scrolls. Fooder Cards, Emblems, and Reroll Scrolls to gear.
After reviewing the rewards structure, I recommend the Emblem Chests. They have the highest value, as heroes are very expensive this time (unless one or two heroes are close to ascending one).
Reroll Scrolls can be very expensive and it is not possible to get the faction you want through re-rolling. The chance of getting it is about 20%.
Faction Scrolls are also a good value. Getting enough will guarantee you an epic with 30 scrolls, so they’re not a bad choice.
Double Delights, May 14th 2020
Double Delights doubles all rewards that you receive during your AFK time with the AFK Chest.
It will double as soon as the event begins. If you don’t collect your AFK reward and then return it after the event has started, you can get double the amount.
Bontiful Counties, May 7th 2020
This event will double your bounty board rewards, except for team bounties. To get Dust-rewarding bounty quests, make sure you use the reroll. You can get much more Dust than you can get in Gold or Diamonds.
Daily Mazes, April 30th 2020
We will be having 8 days of daily lab runs starting on April 30th. This event will allow you to earn extra lab tokens and turn into heroes.
You might have to manage multiple accounts. I understand why you don’t enjoy the Arcana Lab as much. But, it’s still worth it.
One-year Anniversary Event (April 13th 2020)
We will be hosting a full event to celebrate the first anniversary worldwide release of AFK Arena.
You can obtain an entire Brutus or Oscar copy by clicking on the event and several Vibrant Blooms by simply signing in to the game each day during the event week.
You might be wondering what Vibrant Blooms are, and what you can do to use them.
This event will be similar to what we saw with Shadow Nemora and Ice Shemira, but we now have a new boss to fight to earn Vibrant Blooms which we can use to unlock some nice rewards.
The Soul Reaver
Azmonath, the boss that we will be fighting in the Soul Reaver event, is the name of the boss. I will write a guide on team setups in coming days.
You will face a boss who will drop 100 Vibrant Flowers every day. These blooms can be used to unlock random rewards.
Verdant Valley
This is where you can spend your Vibrant Blooms and get a variety of rewards.
You can choose from a variety of rewards that you can unlock randomly. If you have a lot of luck, you might be able to unlock more than one.
Spring Bloom
This is a lot, but there will be the Spring Bloom Event which will give us a new look for Tasi. (I already posted this here ).
To unlock the skin, you will need to spend some real money. You must complete the 15 tasks required to unlock the Spring Bloom Tasi Skin.
- Facebook 5 times – Share new heroes or summoned heroes
- Purchase any amount
- During the event, acquire 1 Lightbearer elite hero
- Send 100 Companion points
- In the Arena of Heroes, defeat 10 Lightbearer heroes
- During the event, acquire 1 elite Graveborn hero
- In the Arena of Heroes, defeat 10 Graveborn heroes
- During the event, acquire 1 Mauler elite hero
- Use Fast Rewards 10 Times
- During the event, acquire 1 Wilder elite hero
- Participate in 15 Guild Hunts
- In the Arena of Heroes, defeat 10 Mauler heroes
- All rewards in Voyage of Wonders ( See my complete guide)
- In the Arena of Heroes, defeat 10 Wilder heroes
- Purchase any amount
You will need to complete 15 quests. This means you’ll have to make at minimum 2 purchases (can also use 99 cent ones), and complete the Voyage of Wonders realm which starts simultaneously.
Legends’ Prestige (March 27th, 2020)
This is a reward for reaching the highest rank in Legend’s Challenger Tournament. Each chest will give you either 3, 5, or 50 Battle Badges. (The currenty that you use to exchange in rewards. More details below.)
Gladiatorial Merits (March 27, 2020)
You may now be curious about the rewards. They look great with nice heroes, but I don’t know if it is realistic to obtain them without spending extra money.
Overall, a great new event that gives you a chance to see some important characters. It will be released soon, but it is currently available on the test server so that you can make sure to get it soon.
Heroes of Espiria (March 13, 2020)
Heroes of Espiria, a January event that’s similar to Arena of Heroes, is another one where you fight and defend together with a team.
Every point earned will be added to your total score, which will determine the league in which you are placed. Your league will then decide the prizes that you will receive.
There are 3 daily attacks available in Heroes of Espiria. You should use the same strategy as you use in the Arena of Heroes.
You will be placed right after the start in a range with your opponents at least equal strength. I found them even more difficult than me – however, you will still get the rewards that you would have earned on the path, which are some nice Gold and Dust
Lost Sigils (March 2, – 10, 2020)
Lost Sigils is back! You probably know the basics of how it works. 6 players can attempt to defeat each other with similar strength. Depending on which hero faction you choose, you’ll get emblems that can be traded in for rewards.
The event will last 9 days. However, you can only fight 7 days. The last two days are for rewards.
Remember that any token left behind will be lost so make sure you spend them all!
A Sweet Romance (February 8th-18th, 2020).
It is basically about collecting items that are available in the Arcane Lab and Daily Chest, as well as Event Deals.
These will then be exchangeable for heroes, shards, and other items in the same manner as we’ve seen it at other events.
Floral Flirtation
You will be able to participate in a daily battle and receive better rewards by joining a global leaderboard. This has been demonstrated to us, and I am eager to receive the rewards so that I can share them here.
Winter Bounties Event (Burning Brute), – (January 22nd-February 1st 2020).
We have updated 1.31 on the test servers. It will be available on the regular servers within the next week (including new Voyage of Wonders and a new hero), as well as the new Elder Tree system. Let’s get back on topic…
A new event will be held, similar to the one at Holloween and Dark Nemora. It’s called Bruning Brute. This dragon-style boss is something we can fight with our team once a day and then we turn in the rewards for heroes and other rewards.
If you don’t like how many Astrobells your battle got, you can restart it as often as necessary. (Astrobells can be seen on the left side. To exchange rewards …), you can see them there.
You can see that there are many great hero choices, Summon Scrolls and Fragments to be pulled for Signature Items.
According to the test servers, the whole event will run for 12 days. I don’t know how many bells you can earn each day.
It looks like a lot of fun. I look forward to seeing it on the live servers.

Heroes of Espiria (January 6, 2016 – January 16, 2016)
Heroes of Espiria, a January event that’s similar to Arena of Heroes, is another one where you fight and defend together with a team.

Assembly of Heroes (January 1, – January 30, 2010)
Assembly of Heroes is an event that began with the new year. To win the ultimate prize – a Brutus Skin that no one can see, you must collect 150 Elite heroes.
Although 150 Epic heroes may sound daunting, it also counts all heroes already obtained (max 120 count towards the event), so most people only need 30 epic heroes in the month of January. This sounds reasonable to me.
You will receive 10x Summon Scrolls to create 25 Epic heroes, and a Hero Choice Chest to create 50 Epic heroes. This should be enough for most people.
The Hero Chest can contain either 10x Factional Summon, or 1x Epic copy Nemora, Lucius Khasos, Khasos, or Nara – both options are really good considering that we don’t have to do much other than play AFK Arena.
Midwinter Festivities (December 11th-December 29th)
We are on track for Christmas with the Midwinter Festivities, an event that has two stages.
This is the kind of roaster you might be familiar with – keys can unlock fields, and with a little luck we can unlock some hero copies.
Many of you may not have the best memories of the last time this reward structure was offered. It can happen that you won’t be able pull the top prize due to the number of keys we have. But, you still get it for nothing

Stage 1 – Ice Shemira
As with the Halloween event, we can fight Ice Shemira to earn Winter Keys which can be used to unlock nice rewards.
Fighting Ice Shemira can give you 5 keys each day.

Stage 2 – Midwinter Feast
Midwinter Feast, the second event in this series after ice Shemira vanished, is where you and your guild members send heroes on missions. You can also earn additional keys that unlock more fields for the Midwinter Festivities Roaster.
